Single Use Plastic - Prevention Better than Cure

The benefits of plastic are undeniable. The material is cheap, lightweight and easy to make. These qualities have led to a boom in the production of plastic over the past century.Roughly around 300 million tons of plastic are produced or used each year and half of it are single use plastic! Out of 300 million tons of plastic roughly 15% of plastic items are recycled. Most plastics do not biodegrade. Instead, they slowly break down into smaller fragments known as micro plastics.

Use and its consequences of single use plastic:

The most common single-use plastics, or disposable plastics, are used only once before they are thrown away or recycled. These items are things like plastic bags, straws, coffee stirrers, soda bottle, food wrappers, plastic grocery bags, plastic lids, straws and stirrers, other types of plastic bags.  and water bottles and most food packaging.

These are the waste products of a throwaway culture that treats plastic as a disposable material. Plastic waste causes a several of problems when it leaks into the environment. Plastic bags can block waterways and aggravate natural disasters. By clogging sewers and providing breeding grounds for mosquitoes and pests, plastic bags can increase the transmission of vector-borne diseases like malaria. High concentrations of plastic materials, particularly plastic bags, have been found blocking the airways and stomachs of hundreds of species. Plastic bags are often ingested by turtles and dolphins who mistake them for food.
Petroleum based plastic:

Petroleum based plastic is not biodegradable and usually goes into a landfill where it is buried or it gets into the water and finds it’s way into the ocean. Although plastic will not decompose into natural substance like soil, it will break down into very small particles after several years. In the process of breaking down and releases toxic chemicals which are used to shape and harden the plastic and via soil and water make their way into our food and water supply. The nature of petroleum based single used plastic is difficult to recycle. Additionally there are a limited number of items that recycled plastic can be used.
Making their way to our food chain:

There is evidence that the toxic chemicals added during the manufacture of plastic transfer to animal tissue, eventually entering the human food chain. Styrofoam products, which contain carcinogenic chemicals like styrene and benzene, are highly toxic if ingested, damaging the nervous systems, lungs and reproductive organs. The toxins in Styrofoam containers can leach into food and drinks. In poor countries, plastic waste is often burned for heat or cooking, exposing people to toxic emissions. Disposing of plastic waste by burning it in open-air pits releases harmful gases like furan and dioxin. These toxic chemicals are now being found in our bloodstream and the latest research has found them to disrupt the Endocrine system which can cause cancer, infertility, birth defects, impaired immunity and many other ailments. We produce hundreds of millions of tons of plastic every year, most of which cannot be recycled. It’s obvious that we need to use less plastic, move towards environmentally sustainable products and services and come up with technology that recycles plastic more efficiently.

Prevention as there is no cure:

Stop using plastic straws, If a straw is a must, purchase a reusable stainless steel or glass straw. A single plastic bag can take 1,000 years to degrade. Purchase or make your own reusable cotton bag.Give up gum. Gum is made of a synthetic rubber, use natural gum instead. Buy boxes instead of bottles. Often, products like laundry detergent come in cardboard which is more easily recycled than plastic. Reuse containers for storing leftovers or shopping in bulk. Use matches instead of disposable plastic lighters or invest in a refillable metal lighter. Avoid buying frozen foods because their packaging is mostly plastic. Even those that appear to be cardboard are coated in a thin layer of plastic. Don't use plastic ware at home and be sure to request restaurants do not pack them in your take-out box. Ask your local grocer to give things in paper or jute bag. Use cloth diapers to reduce your baby's carbon footprint and save money. Make fresh squeezed juice or eat fruit instead of buying juice in plastic bottles. It's healthier and better for the invironment. Make your own cleaning products that will be less toxic and eliminate the need for multiple plastic bottles of cleaner. Pack your lunch in reusable containers and bags. Also, opt for fresh fruits and veggies and bulk items instead of products that come in single serving cups. Use a razor with replaceable blades instead of a disposable razor

The seven types of plastic include:
  • Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE or PET)
  • High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
  • Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
  • Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
  • Polypropylene (PP)
  • Polystyrene or Styrofoam (PS)
  • Miscellaneous plastics (includes: polycarbonate, polylactide, acrylic, acrylonitrile butadiene, styrene, fiberglass, and nylon)

Tips to Build a Website

In this world of information technology  we are always engage in web weather its work or pass time or get connected with people or play games  or acquire knowledge etc... we always prefer web. But what is web? A set of interconnected system sharing their resources with each other. And the resource each of them provide via website. You talk about Facebook ,Twitter,  Instagram or YouTube, Wikipedia all are web sites.
website  is a collection of resources, such as web pages, multimedia content, which are generally identified with a specific address called as domain name, and published on at least one web server.
Websites are of various varieties, such as news sites, educational sites, social media sites, e-commerce sites, web service provider site and so on. Like a book which contain numbers of pages a web site is also contain a number of pages. The page usually contains text and other media. Arranged in a proper order or structure to attract the visitor.
There are no specific rules to design a website rules dictating the form of a website. A person could create a website of nothing but black and white photos of roses. However, many sites follow a standard pattern of a homepage that links off to other categories and content within the website. Originally, websites were categorized by their domain extension name like .gov, .org, .edu, .com, .in. Some examples like .gov for Government agency, .edu for websites Educational institutions’ websites .org for Nonprofit organizations’ websites  .com for Commercial websites. Though they are categorised by the extension name , but a website's actual content different in most cases. In recent times, the ".com" extension is by far more popular domain, a long with many other country-specific extensions like .in for india.

So lets come to the original topic designing a website.  We should do some home work before jumping in to design a website. A fast loading mobile friendly website is probably the major way to obtain promoting an enterprise on World Wide Web. A website performs being an online catalogue of your respective business and also it provides specifics of the corporation one day throughout the week.
Different steps must be followed to finish the site design project, it goes through different  stages. To make it simple for the designers they divide the task and plan them on their personal preferences.

The first stage of designing an website is planning the structure, which contains layout, scheme , link placements, theme, navigation element, and call to action. Planning the appearance of home page and adding of link and sub links to the home page is the primary task to get performed while making an internet site.
The next stage is collecting and organising the information, it has to be prepared such that it fit the planned design. That could be the pictures and graphics need to become blend with the look and text. The content should be organized with relevant information at right page to make the designing step simple and smooth.
Designing stage is the stage, in which every plans  and content articles are ready for deployment. During the design phase, your website takes shape. All the visual content, such as images, photos, and videos is created at this step. Once again, all the info that was gathered through the first phase is crucial. The customer and target audience must be kept in mind while you work on a design. The layout has to get designed in any of the graphic design software, obeying large scheme according to the house page. The color combination, font and the information in the look has being finished in this stage and it has to become authorized by the client.

The last is the development stage. It demands coding and possesses to be produced by the developers and also the programmers in the web site design team. In this stage the internet master must work with all the latest web standards so that the browser compatibility and comfortable viewing experience in all devices like desktop, tablet as well as mobile.

Chandrayan-II, passed with distinction

Since the launch of Chandrayaan-2 on July 22, 2019, India and the world watched its progress from one phase to the next with great expectation and excitement. The Chandrayaan-2 mission is very complex, and a significant technological leap from previous missions of ISRO(Indian Space Reserch Organisation). This brought together an Orbiter, Lander and Rover to explore the unexplored south polar region of the Moon.
This unique mission, aimed at studying not just one area of the Moon but also its exosphere, the surface and sub-surface in a single mission. The Orbiter has already been placed in its intended orbit around the Moon and shall enrich our understanding of the moon’s evolution, map minerals, water molecules in the polar regions, using its eight state-of-the-art scientific instruments. The precise launch and mission management has ensured a long life of almost 7 years instead of the planned one year. Here is an list of cutting-edge science that will come from the orbiter. From ISRO.

The Orbiter camera is the highest resolution camera (0.3m) in any lunar mission so far and has already started providing high-resolution images which will be immensely useful to the global scientific community.Orbiter camera: The pictures I saw this morning were truly extraordinary.  TMCv2’s(Terrain Mapping Camera) primary objective is mapping the lunar surface in the panchromatic (sensitive to light of all colors in the visible spectrum)spectral band (0.5-0.8 microns), high spatial resolution(5m), swathe(20 km from 100 km lunar polar orbit). Data will give clues about the Moon's evolution, prepare 3D maps of the lunar surface.CLASS measures X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) spectra to detect elements such as Magnesium, Aluminium, Silicon, Calcium, Titanium, Iron, and Sodium. The XRF(X-ray fluorescence) technique will detect these elements by measuring the characteristic X-rays they emit when excited by the Sun's rays.

XSM(X-Ray Solar Monitor) observes the X-rays emitted by the Sun and its corona, measures the intensity of solar radiation in these rays, and supports CLASS. Provides solar X-ray spectrum in the energy range of 1-15 keV. XSM will provide high-energy resolution and high-cadence measurements (full spectrum every second) of solar X-ray spectra as input for analysis of data from CLASS. Imaging Infra-red spectrometer (IIRS) has two primary objectives:
(One) global mineralogical and volatile mapping of the Moon in the spectral range of ~0.8-5.0 µm for the first time, at the high resolution of ~20 nm.IIRS

(Two)Complete characterization of water/hydroxyl feature near 3.0 µm for the first time at high spatial (~80 m) and spectral (~20 nm) resolutions.

One more from IIRS: will also measure  solar radiation reflected off the Moon's surface in 256 contiguous spectral bands from 100 km lunar orbit.
Dual-frequency (L and S) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) will provide enhanced capabilities compared to Chandrayaan 1's S-band miniSAR in areas such as: L-band for greater depth of penetration (About 5m — twice that of S-band).SAR: Circular and full polarimetry — with a range of resolution options (2-75 m) and incident angles (9°-35°) — for understanding scattering properties of permanently shadowed regions. SAR: The main scientific objectives of this payload are: High-resolution lunar mapping in the polar regions. Quantitative estimation of water-ice in the polar regions. Estimation of regolith thickness and its distribution.

Chandrayyan Atmospheric compositional explorer 2 (CHACE 2) will continue the CHACE experiment carried out by Chandrayaan 1.CHACE 2 is a Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (QMA) capable of scanning the lunar neutral exosphere in the mass range of 1 to 300 amu with the mass resolution of ~0.5 amu. CHACE 2's primary objective is to carry out an in-situ study of the composition and distribution of the lunar neutral exosphere and its variability. Dual Frequency Radio Science Experiment (DFRS) To study the temporal evolution of electron density in the Lunar ionosphere.
DFRS: Two coherent signals at X (8496 MHz), and S (2240 MHz) band are transmitted simultaneously from satellite, and received at ground-based deep station network receivers. The Vikram Lander followed the planned descent trajectory from its orbit of 35 km to just below 2 km above the surface. All systems and sensors of the Lander functioned excellently until this point.  Tested and proved many new technologies such as the variable thrust propulsion technology used in the Lander.Success criteria were defined for each and every phase of the mission and so far 90 to 95% of the mission objectives have been accomplished and will continue to contribute to Lunar science. not with standing the loss of communication with the Lander. ISRO project review teams made presentations to mission management, Chaired by Dr. Sivan right through the early hours of today onward. They are already addressing causes and learning from the events. After a moment of despondency, it is back to work!! It is inspirational to see this characteristic of science in collective action.

ORBITER: An orbiter is a space probe that orbits a planet or other astronomical object.

LANDER:lander is a spacecraft which descends toward and comes to rest on the surface of an astronomical body. By contrast with an impact probe, which makes a hard landing and is damaged or destroyed so ceases to function after reaching the surface, a lander makes a soft landing after which the probe remains functional.

ROVER:Chandrayaan-2's 27-kg rover is a six-wheeled robotic vehicle named Pragyan.

SOUTH POLE OF MOON:The lunar south pole is of special interest to scientists because of the occurrence of water ice in permanently shadowed areas around it. The lunar south pole region features craters that are unique in that the near-constant sunlight does not reach their interior. Such craters are cold traps that contain a fossil record of hydrogen, water ice, and other volatiles dating from the early Solar System. In contrast, the lunar north pole region exhibits a much lower quantity of similarly sheltered craters.

EXOSPHERE:The exosphere  is a thin, atmosphere-like volume surrounding a planet or natural satellite where molecules are gravitationally bound to that body, but where the density is too low for them to behave as a gas by colliding with each other.

Kashmir on a decisive stage

Kashmir has turned into a point of attraction right now all over the world. With normal life thrown out of gear after advisory issued to the tourists who are in the valley by the  government, no clarity on the situation, no advisory for local people, there's panic, speculation and rumor-mongering all around.
Phones and internet are off for a preventive measure to cur tel the spreading of rumor.

People living outside Kashmir are unable to contact their relatives in a state of bother about their well being.Rumor by front line leader spread through social media made them  highly scared and apprehensive. Traders and employees don't know  what will happen tomorrow.

Mainstream leaders are apparently being watched and there's deployment of forces outside their houses. Ground mobilizers have been taken into preventive custody - a process that's been going on for a few days. High ranking officers in the government have no clue about things. Everyone is asking the same question: "What is going on in Kashmir?" nobody, even the Governor kept his mouth shut.

There's no clarity on what is a news and what is fake news all are in speculation. Officials are advised not to open their mouth. BJP government with massive mandate want resolve Kashmir issue at once for all they may remove  article 370 or 35A or divide state in to three different parts which automatically dissolve the above articles.

Kashmiris in all parts of the world are staying in a turmoil tonight, as phone  and internet services are being shut down in Kashmir. The ground situation is fine  and no need to panic. We all expect a permanent solution for long pending Kashmir issue, we want the heaven should free from terrorism and free for all.

"Zomato episode" A controversy created for publicity

A controversy created by Zomato a food delivery aap for fake publicity defaming Hinduism and its follower. The controversy starts when A Twitter user tweeted to Zomato recently saying, "Just cancelled an order on @ZomatoIN they allocated a non hindu rider for my food they said they can't change rider and can't refund on cancellation I said you can't force me to take a delivery I don't want don't refund just cancel."

Suppose you say Amit is stupid for demanding delivery boy on religious basis,  isn’t Zomato is stupid for saying "Food has no religion" but looking for Halal  for a muslim costumer.

Its a game seriously played by the Zomato to create publicity by hurting hindu sentiment. How could he know who cooked the food, is he a Hindu or non-Hindu changing delivery boy does not sense if you don’t know about the cook. And if you are religious enough you could cook it for yourself.

But my point is why Hindus are the soft target for religious belief you must have heard about  30 Madrasas refused mid-day meals from Hindu organizations and even said happy to consume fevicol (a gum) instead. The current outrage was not there at that time.

Such type of incidents divide Hindus in to two parts right-Hindu and right minus all Hindu that includes secular Hindu, moderate Hindu, non believer Hindu. Some support the poor guy and some supports the  Zomato who cleverly got free air space on Television's prime time  and social media with out any investment and we Hindu fight with each other for a business company who can do anything for his business .

As you know about the sub-standard "TRP"  hungry media they can create issue form any thing. In our childhood news comes at morning and in the evening even then people feel bored for that half an hour. But now its 24/7 with multiple channel competing with each other for viewer ship. They create their own recipe out of this to attract people.

Zomato controversy is nonsensical Why no such outrage on Bengal event where Officials recently insulted & used 20 pregnant women for photo op with food? Ironically Liberals who linked Akshaya Patra food with Hindutva & Brahminical Patriarchy are now saying Food has no religion. While Zomato was right in its refusal to change the delivery person, it has no right to preach when it has been following a communal delivery & customer care policy for years.

The conclusion is it’s a fake controversy created out of nothing to get mileage for business from the rivals by hurting Hindu sentiment if I would be a lawyer I must file a case against the company for the same so wish anybody who can do the same against the company to spread hate aginest Hindu community and defame India internationally.
